8’ 6”, 3/1, 5 wt., South Bend 323 blanks, all sections 34 ½”, fast dry fly action, honey cane, uplocking nickel silver Madrone burl seat, 7” bamboo burl western style grip, 10mm moss agate stripper, custom nickel silver winding stop, lime green silk mains, amber gold silk trim, three coats of marine spar urethane varnish. Comes with custom rod sock and plain PVC tube. This rod has an extra snake guide on the tip section for improved casting smoothness (five on tip, 4 on mid, 1 plus stripper on butt).

8-1/2’ 3/2, 6wt., South Bend #359 designed by Wes Jordan. All sections 34-1/2”. Completely refurbished. New varnish, guides, silk wraps, reset ferrules. American Tackle Products impregnated “Roughwood” up-locking reel seat with titanium coated aluminum hardware. Western style cork grip is tipped with “Roughwood” inserts. Silk is dark brown mains, hunter green trim. Custom antiqued nickel-silver winding stop. Beautiful flamed cane. Fast dry fly action. Smooth caster. Will handle a 5-wt. Rio Grande or a SA GPX flyline with ease also. Comes with original rod sock and Cabelas’ green nylon over PVC zipper-topped tube. Great rod for introducing yourself to the joys of bamboo.

6’-3/4’, 4wt, 2/2, South Bend #359 Blanks, 6” Bamboo Burl grip, REC Emerald Wood uplocking seat with nickel silver hardware, custom nickel silver wind stop, Fugi stripper, Hunter Green silk main wraps with amber silk trim, custom sock and plain PVC tube. Feels good at 15’, best at 20’, max load at 32’ (with no leader-Rio Grand WF4F).

7’, 5wt (HDH/D), 2/1, quad (four sided) glass rod, restored. Immediately after WWII, Fairfax Engineering of Kansas City, Ks. shifted from war production into making fishing equipment. Little is known about them but they were a very early maker of solid glass fly rods in a quad or penta configuration. The line was soon sold to Phantom Products of KC who continued to build the rods. This rod was faintly marked in red “Panfish PF-7 HDH or D”, and has been cleaned, recoated with spar clear urethane, and remarked. It has been rewrapped with Hunter Green silk and fitted with stainless steel guides. The original ferrules have been refitted, and the original green anodized aluminum reel seat, cork grip and aluminum wind stop have been cleaned and polished. It comes complete with a Cabelas 53” tube. It loads fine at 15’, best at 22’, and maxes at 40’. This rod is a rare piece of fly-fishing history with a sweet, forgiving action.
